The Half Day Book Award will be given to the book students choose as their favorite from the list of nominees. This year we will use the list for the state book award for students in grades 3-5 called the Bluestem Award.
~Throughout the year, students will read and evaluate as many books from the list as possible.
~Students who have read or heard and evaluated at least FOUR books will be eligible to vote. Bluestem voting March 9-13, 2020, and Half Day Book Award voting is in May 2020. Students who have not completed the requirements for the Bluestem Award in March still have time to get ready for the Half Day Award in May. Students who are eligible may vote for BOTH awards.
~After reading each book, students must complete an evaluation form located under the Book Award dropdown menu on the Half Day Library Home Page.
~Students may keep track of book badges earned by checking their profile in Haiku/PowerSchool. If a student has completed an evaluation but has not received a badge, check the Messages section for information about what text evidence is needed.
